A hub for sports fans,this treasure is tucked away behind medieval Spon Street.Everything is meticulous;chilled lager glasses,manicured beer garden,outdoor heating - covered! And the food is huge and hearty! Beautiful rugby-inspired stained glass windows,too.

Town Wall Tavern is a very good traditional pub close to the city centre of Coventry. It's a real community pub, with down-to-earth but friendly clientele, and a decent selection of real ales. Split into several dedicated seating areas, with a small smoking/vaping area to the back of the pub (see photos). Really nice place, certainly will invite you and your friends to linger. Warmly recommended for Coventry!

Right next to the Belgrade Theatre, this may be a good place to stop in for a pint after your show! Consists of many rooms, one being 'the donkey box' which is absolutely tiny, and serves some real ales, and food of good quality. Fairly old fashioned, but well kept and clean. This pub is close to the Gatehouse pub too, so worth a thought for a mini crawl!
